Fatal collision in Pike County involving garbage truck takes life of Tylertown woman
A tragic incident occurred on Monday morning in Pike County, resulting in the loss of a woman from Tylertown. The collision took place on Highway 98 between a 2019 Nissan Altima and a 2017 Mack garbage truck. Samantha Barnum, a 33-year-old, who was driving the Nissan, was fatally injured in the accident. Fortunately, the individuals in the garbage truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
