Fatal collision in Howard County involves woman
A Kokomo woman tragically passed away following a collision involving two vehicles on Friday evening in Howard County, as reported by the Howard County Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred at the intersection of CR 600 East and CR 100 South around 10:53 p.m., where both vehicles rolled over, trapping the occupants inside. Following rescue efforts, one victim was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m. The deceased, identified as 59-year-old Angela Dawn Murdock of Kokomo, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband, James S. Murdock. Initial investigations suggest that James S. Murdock was driving his White Jeep Compass westbound on County Road 100 South when a Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 25-year-old Dakota Pogue of Kokomo, failed to stop at the intersection and collided with the passenger side of Murdock’s vehicle. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, according to authorities. The Howard County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the incident and urges anyone with information to contact Sgt. Chris Cramer at (765) 456-2020.
