Fatal collision between two semi-trucks on I-55 in Hinds County.
UPDATE: A tragic accident occurred in Hinds County, Miss., where an 18-wheeler driver lost their life following a collision with another 18-wheeler on Interstate 55. The incident took place on I-55 North close to the 83-mile marker around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8. The driver of the International MV60, Reggie McNeal, sadly passed away at the scene, while the other driver was taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is currently investigating the cause of the crash. In response to the accident, authorities had to shut down all lanes on Interstate 55 North between Byram and Terry. The collision, which involved two 18-wheelers, occurred past the exit at Wynndale Road around the same time on Tuesday. Byram Police Chief David Errington confirmed reports of injuries and mentioned that the MHP is leading the investigation into the accident.
