Fatal collision between pedestrian and propane truck at Williamsburg Road intersection.
A tragic accident occurred at an intersection in Henrico County involving a collision between a tractor-trailer and a truck hauling propane. The incident led to the death of one man and left another hospitalized. The crash also involved a pedestrian who was identified as the deceased male victim. The tractor-trailer, hauling a concrete slab, collided with the propane truck at the intersection, causing the tractor-trailer to jackknife and flip over onto its side. This resulted in the pedestrian being struck and fatally injured, and subsequent secondary crashes involving other vehicles. The driver of the tractor-trailer, also a male, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Following the accident, road closures were in place for a period of time, but as of 7:12 p.m., VDOT confirmed that the lanes are open.
