Fatal collision between car and train in Shelby County.
Four individuals lost their lives in an early morning car collision with a train in Shelby County, Illinois. The incident occurred at 4:20 a.m. near the intersection of Shelby County Road 400 North and Route 45, just north of Effingham. Thankfully, the train remained on its tracks and the road was cleared for traffic by 9:41 a.m. The Illinois State Police are currently investigating the crash with no additional details available at this moment.
