Fatal collision between 2 semitrucks near North Bend, WA
Authorities are looking into a fatal collision between two semi-trucks that occurred on westbound Interstate 90 near North Bend. Emergency responders were called to the scene, where an overturned semi-truck was found near exit 32. The incident, reported at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, involved a "collision between two semi-trucks" with a rescue operation in progress. Trooper Rick Johnson of the Washington State Patrol stated that the crash happened at milepost 32 and involved "serious injuries" between two semis. Tragically, one driver, a man operating a log truck, did not survive. The other driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. As a result of the crash, two right lanes of westbound I-90 and the exit 32 ramp were closed, with an extended expected time for scene clearance.
