Fatal chain-reaction crash on I-4 injures 3: FHP

Unfortunately, a fatal multi-vehicle accident occurred on I-4 Monday afternoon, resulting in the death of one individual and serious injuries to three others. The incident took place on I-4 westbound near I-75 around 2 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that traffic had stopped near the I-75 exit when a Ford F250, driven by a Thonotosassa man, failed to stop and collided with the back of a Jeep Cherokee, which then crashed into a dump truck. Regrettably, a 34-year-old passenger in the Jeep Cherokee from Riviera Beach lost his life in the crash. The Cherokee's driver, a 34-year-old man from Lake Park, and two other passengers – a 51-year-old woman from Wesley Chapel and a 32-year-old woman from West Palm Beach – sustained serious injuries. The driver of the Ford F250 had minor injuries, while the dump truck driver was unharmed.
