Fatal car crash on busy Milton road

Two individuals have tragically lost their lives, and one has sustained serious injuries following a head-on collision involving two vehicles in Milton over the weekend. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Randolph Avenue and Hillside Street. According to officials, a Mercedes-Benz travelling northbound collided with a Toyota heading in the opposite direction. Debris from the crash also struck a third vehicle. The scene was littered with car parts, and the engine of one vehicle was even found in a nearby front yard. The 71-year-old female driver of the Toyota and her 39-year-old male passenger succumbed to their injuries, while the 47-year-old Mercedes driver was taken to a Boston hospital with serious injuries. The victims have not been publicly identified, and the Milton Police Department is conducting an investigation. Residents in the area describe the road as dangerous, with one neighbor expressing concerns over the frequent accidents that occur on Randolph Avenue, also known as Route 28. Diane Ditulio Agostino, who has been advocating for increased safety measures on the road for years, emphasized the urgent need for action to prevent further tragedies.
