Fatal Car Crash Kills Driver in Abandoned Starke County Residence
An 18-year-old tragically passed away in a deserted rural Starke County home following a car incident. Starke County Sheriff's Office officials reported that deputies were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash at the junction of Range Rd and 250 North on Sunday. They discovered an empty vehicle that had veered off the road and hit a tree. Despite extensive search efforts, the driver, identified as Logan Cooke, could not be located initially. Thankfully, with the support of local residents, Cooke was eventually found inside an empty home close to the scene. Reportedly, excessive speed and veering off the road were key factors in the accident.
