Fatal car crash in St. Bernard parish
A tragic car accident occurred in St. Bernard Parish on Saturday, October 25th, resulting in the death of 64-year-old Scott Sanders of Metairie. According to Louisiana State Police, Sanders was driving a 2025 Hyundai Palisade on Highway 39 near Schnell Drive when the vehicle veered off the road, hitting a steel billboard support pillar. Sanders sustained serious injuries as he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but unfortunately passed away from his injuries.
