Fatal Car Crash in Rising Sun: 18-Year-Old Woman Dead, 65-Year-Old Man Injured
An investigation by Maryland State Police is underway following a tragic car accident that occurred in Cecil County on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place in Rising Sun before 2:30 p.m. as authorities were alerted to a collision on Maryland Route 274. Reports suggest that a 2001 Honda Accord heading east collided with a 2025 Dodge Ram heading west. Tragically, the sole occupant of the Honda, 18-year-old Samantha Pierce, lost her life in the crash. The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 65-year-old man, sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical care. The circumstances surrounding this incident are being actively investigated.
