Fatal car crash in Licking County injures one and kills another
A tragic car accident in Licking County on Friday afternoon resulted in the death of one woman and injuries to four others, as reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP). The incident took place at the intersection of State Route 16 and Gale Road when Donna Porter failed to yield at a stop sign while driving a Toyota Sienna northbound on Gale Rd, causing a collision with Sandra Welch's Mazda 5 traveling eastbound on State Route 16. Porter sustained serious injuries, while her two juvenile passengers had minor injuries. Welch was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and unfortunately passed away later. Her passenger also suffered serious injuries. The OSHP is currently investigating the crash.
