Fatal car crash in Laclede County involving Joplin woman
A tragic car crash in Laclede County on Saturday, July 5, has resulted in the loss of a young woman from Joplin. A 27-year-old passenger lost her life in the accident that occurred on Highway 5 at Lake Shore Drive. The crash involved a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by a man from Vancouver, Washington, which hydroplaned and collided with a 2019 Ford F150 driven by a young woman from Long Lane, Missouri. The 27-year-old victim was pronounced deceased at Mercy Hospital in Lebanon. The crash left five victims with serious injuries and four with minor injuries. This unfortunate event marks the second fatality for July and the 14th fatality for MSHP Troop I in 2025.
