Fatal Car Crash Claims Sailor's Life at Naval Station Great Lakes
A tragic car accident occurred on Sunday night at Naval Station Great Lakes in Chicago, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old U.S. Navy sailor named Makaio Bartley. Bartley, who was originally from California, was driving on Ziegemeier Street at the station when his vehicle struck a guardrail and then a concrete wall. Despite efforts by first responders, Bartley was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lake County Coroner's Office determined that he passed away from injuries sustained in the crash. The incident is currently being investigated by the Great Lakes Police Department, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and Lake County Sheriff's Office.
