Fatal car crash claims life of Grand Bay woman
A tragic car crash in Mobile County has claimed the life of an 89-year-old Grand Bay woman over the weekend, as reported by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Bernice L. Winston was driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata when it collided with a 2006 Peterbilt tractor-trailer on Dawes Road near Ben Hamilton Road. The collision occurred around 3:48 pm on Oct. 3, approximately 11 miles west of Mobile city limits. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Winston succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer emerged unscathed. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
