Fatal car crash claims life of 8-year-old
Update: A tragic incident occurred in Bush, Louisiana, where a child lost their life in a car accident on Tuesday, September 16. The Louisiana State Police reported that 8-year-old Jewel Leger passed away in the crash. Leger was a passenger in a 2009 Toyota Camry that veered off LA Highway 40 and crashed into a tree while navigating a left-hand curve. The driver, who was properly buckled up, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Sadly, Jewel, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries. The Coroner's Office has scheduled an autopsy for Wednesday.
