Fatal car collision and fire near Maize results in driver's death
One individual lost their life in an early morning crash near Maize when their Pontiac G6 crashed into a tree and caught fire. The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office responded to an Apple crash alert at 45th Street North and 135th Street West where Colwich firefighters discovered the victim inside the vehicle. The driver reportedly lost control on the gravel road while heading west on 45th Street. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
