
Fatal car accident injures pedestrian in Aurora: Police
A pedestrian lost their life and another sustained serious injuries in a car accident near the Gaylord Hotel on Sunday evening, as reported by the Aurora Police Department. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and assisted with the investigation. Aurora police mentioned that there was no evidence of the driver being under the influence of alcohol, and no signs the incident was deliberate. Denver7 received a call at 10:05 p.m. from a viewer reporting a heightened presence of emergency responders. Aurora police confirmed that the crash occurred around 9:40 p.m., closing down N. Himalaya Road at that time. According to police, three men were walking along the road when they were struck from behind by a Mazda sedan. Sadly, one of the pedestrians passed away after being taken to the hospital. This incident marked the 18th traffic-related fatality in Aurora this year, as stated by Aurora police.
