Fatal bus crash in Firouzkouh, Iran leaves four dead and many injured

Firouzkouh Governor Abolfazl Zamaninejad reported that the incident happened earlier in the morning near Aminabad when a bus carrying 34 passengers veered off the road and overturned in a nearby valley. As outlined by Iranian media on News.Az, the casualties included three women and one man. Out of the 30 individuals injured, three were treated as outpatients, while the rest were admitted to hospitals for further treatment. Four critically injured passengers were airlifted to a hospital in Tehran, while the others were taken to medical centers in Firouzkouh and Damavand. Zamaninejad mentioned that prompt action helped keep casualties to a minimum, and it is unlikely that the death toll will increase. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Car accidents are frequent in Iran, often due to poor road conditions, driver fatigue, or vehicle safety issues.
