Fatal Brooklyn collision injures two pedestrians: Police

In Brooklyn, New York, a tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon as a car struck pedestrians on a sidewalk near 535 Neptune Ave in Coney Island. According to the police, a woman lost her life while two other pedestrians sustained injuries. The driver, an 86-year-old man in a red Chrysler Town & Country, may have experienced a medical emergency when he backed up the vehicle and hit the victims. Witnesses described a chaotic scene with one woman screaming in pain. The deceased victim, an 89-year-old woman, was identified while a 75-year-old woman remains in critical condition and a 43-year-old woman is in stable condition at the hospital. The identity of the deceased pedestrian is still unknown. The driver, who was also hospitalized, stayed at the location following the incident.
