Fatal boating incident in Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ, according to police
Tragically, an individual lost their life in a boating incident on Sunday morning at Barnegat Bay in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. New Jersey State Police reported that a 27-foot Robalo boat hit a large wake, causing both occupants to be thrown into the water. Regrettably, one of the individuals, identified as Karl Chen from Princeton, age 56, succumbed to his injuries after being struck by the circling boat. The other person on board suffered minor injuries. The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. close to ICW Marker 116 in the Barnegat Bay in Ocean County. Authorities are conducting an investigation into the matter.
