Fatal bike crash near St. John, N. Topping on Sunday afternoon.
The police department in Kansas City, Missouri, reported that a bicyclist lost his life in an accident on Sunday afternoon near St. John and N. Topping avenues. Law enforcement responded to the scene just before 1 p.m. Upon arrival, it was determined that the bicyclist was traveling southbound on Topping in the wrong direction when he collided with the side of an eastbound tractor-trailer. Unfortunately, the bicyclist passed away at the scene. This tragic incident is the 29th traffic fatality of the year, compared to 46 at the same time last year in Kansas City, Missouri.
