Fatal ATV accident in Ottawa County kills Grand Rapids man, injures rider
A man from Grand Rapids tragically lost his life in an ATV accident in Ottawa County, with a woman from Muskegon Heights being injured. The incident occurred around 8:55 p.m. on Saturday when an ATV rolled over at the junction of 90th Ave. and Cedar Dr. in Allendale Township. Authorities responded to the scene and found that the ATV had veered off the road, causing the rollover. Despite efforts to save the man, he was pronounced dead at the location. The woman, aged 22, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The investigation revealed that the ATV, traveling from the northeast on South Cedar Dr., failed to negotiate a turn onto 90th Ave. The victim's identity has not been disclosed, and the incident is currently being investigated by the Ottawa County Sheriff's office.
