Fatal accident with semi-truck claims two lives, three dogs in Lewis County
A tragic three-vehicle collision occurred in the town of West Turin, N.Y., resulting in two individuals and three dogs losing their lives. The incident involved a tractor-trailer driven by Andrew Sommers and a 2011 Honda Pilot driven by Natasha Spellicy. Following the initial collision, both vehicles veered off the road. Natasha Spellicy and a rear passenger, Tyler Spellicy, were pronounced dead at the scene, along with the family dogs. Another passenger, Kylie Spellicy, was airlifted to the hospital and is in stable condition. The driver of the other vehicle involved, Eric Croniser, and his passenger, Amanda Croniser, sustained minor injuries. Police determined that Andrew Sommers was not impaired. The investigation is ongoing, with support from various agencies.
