Fatal accident with dump truck on I-385 in Greenville Co.
A fatal crash occurred on Sunday night on Interstate 385 in Greenville County, South Carolina, resulting in the death of a dump truck driver. The Greenville Police Department responded to the incident at exit 37 and discovered that the dump truck and another vehicle were both traveling southbound at the time. Lanes were closed for several hours as a result of the crash, which claimed the life of the 58-year-old dump truck driver, David Mather Whitehead Sr., from High Point, North Carolina. The driver was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries. The Greenville PD is currently investigating the incident.
