Fatal accident: Two bicyclists killed on I-44 in Wichita Falls
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Two bicyclists have died after being struck by a vehicle on I-44 in Wichita Falls. Around 4:12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, two bicyclists were hit on I-44 across from Vitro Glass. Sergeant Juan Gutierrez with Texas DPS confirmed that both bicyclists died. The Wichita County Sheriff's Office and medics were on the scene, with CPR in progress just around 4:20 p.m. A helicopter was called but later canceled, with the Justice of the Peace en route, just before 5 p.m., according to Texas DPS. Traffic is being diverted due to the wreck. No other information is known at the time of publication. Updates will be provided online and on-air as more information becomes available.
