A tragic incident occurred in Chicago's Chinatown area, resulting in a deadly single-vehicle accident overnight that led to the closure of the Chinatown Feeder Ramp in both directions early Thursday morning. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Alexander Smith by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, lost his life in the crash. Illinois State Police confirmed the accident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on Thursday. Smith, the only person in the vehicle, was declared deceased at the crash site. The ramp was completely operational again by 4 a.m., as reported by ISP.
