Fatal Accident on Wednesday
In Washington Township, an individual tragically lost their life in a crash that took place on Wednesday. The Wood County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident involved two vehicles on SR 582 close to Tontogany Road. Initial findings indicate that a motorcycle traveling east on SR 582 hit a deer, causing it to crash in the middle of the road. Subsequently, an SUV moving eastbound collided with the motorcycle and its rider. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the location, while the SUV driver emerged unharmed. As of now, the deceased's identity is not disclosed as authorities are reaching out to their family. Middleton Township Medic 680 EMS, Middletown Township Fire Department, BG Towing, and Frank's Automotive were all involved in aiding at the crash site. The incident is currently under investigation.
