Fatal Accident on Route 8 North in Seymour
A tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening in Seymour, as a man tragically passed away in a single-car rollover accident on Route 8 North. State police have identified the driver as Daniel Popiolek, 37, from Beacon Falls. The accident, which occurred near Exit 18 around 6:54 p.m., involved the vehicle losing control in the left lane, veering off-road, rolling over, and colliding with a light pole. Unfortunately, the driver was ejected during the rollover and succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
