Fatal accident on Northland Drive in Mecosta Township
A tragic incident occurred in Mecosta Township on October 1 resulting in the death of a driver in a fiery crash. According to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place on Northland Drive, just south of 12 Mile Road. The driver was operating a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse heading north when it veered across lanes and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to ignite in flames. Sadly, the driver did not survive the impact. The authorities are working on confirming the identity through an autopsy. The sheriff’s office is seeking information from any witnesses or individuals who saw the vehicle prior to the crash, while confirming that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
