Fatal accident on interstate involving overturned truck carrying hay bales
The Asheville Police Department is currently investigating a fatal accident that took place on Sunday morning involving a truck transporting hay bales. The incident occurred near Exit 1B on Interstate 240 West at approximately 11:23 a.m. According to authorities, Dustin Lee Hensley, 34, was driving a 2012 Ford pickup truck towing a trailer loaded with hay bales along the westbound lanes of I-240 when he lost control, causing the truck and trailer to overturn. Sadly, Hensley passed away from his injuries after being transported to Mission Hospital, while the passenger sustained minor injuries.
