Fatal accident on Interstate 26: SCHP
A tragic incident occurred in Spartanburg County, S.C., where a pedestrian lost their life in a collision late Thursday afternoon. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place at approximately 5:20 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 26 at mile marker 26. The pedestrian, identified as 41-year-old Mary Lynn Carter of Clinton by the Spartanburg County Coroner's office, was struck by a 2005 Ford SUV that veered off the road and onto the shoulder where the pedestrian was standing.
