Fatal accident on IH-610 West Loop Northbound causing slows
HOUSTON (KIAH) — Traffic lanes along 610 West Loop northbound before Beechnut are closed after a major accident involving a fatality. Authorities responded to the scene at 4:50 a.m. where emergency units are still active. More accidents were reported along the same route around 4:30 a.m. in the opposite direction and since cleared but traffic remains slow in the area in both directions. That accident involving a fatality has all lanes closed. If you travel in the vicinity of the West Loop, please find an alternate route for your commute, including Stella Link or S. Rice Avenue.
