Fatal accident on I-95 South in Caroline
A fatal accident occurred on Interstate 95 South in Caroline County when a tractor-trailer collided with a vehicle on Sunday evening. Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash near Ladysmith Road around 8:30 p.m. Investigators believe a vehicle in the center lane struck another in the left lane. The second vehicle was able to stop on the right shoulder, while the first vehicle came to a rest across lanes before being hit by the tractor-trailer. Sadly, the driver of the first vehicle passed away at a local hospital. Authorities could not provide further details about the driver, only mentioning a connection to other passengers in the vehicle.
