Fatal accident on I-94 causes road closures before rush hour
Early on Tuesday morning, a fatal collision involving a motorcyclist occurred on the Bishop Ford Freeway in Dolton, Illinois, leading to some temporary road closures. The incident took place near Sibley Boulevard, close to the Calumet City and Dolton border. Illinois State Police troopers reported that the motorcycle rider collided with a vehicle on I-94, resulting in grave injuries and ultimately death on site. No other individuals were harmed in the accident. The deceased rider has not yet been identified, and an investigation is in progress. To deal with the repercussions of the crash, all southbound lanes of I-94 from Sibley Boulevard to Dolton Avenue in Calumet City have been closed, with traffic being rerouted along Dolton Avenue. The duration of these closures remains uncertain at present.
