Fatal accident on Highway 61 near Warren County
One person tragically passed away following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 61 near the Warren County line in Issaquena County, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. when an SUV carrying four individuals veered off the road. Three individuals sustained injuries, with one of them sadly losing their life. Emergency responders rushed to the scene to provide aid, with one individual airlifted to UMMC and others transported by ambulance. The highway was briefly closed to facilitate the landing of a medical helicopter. The Coroner is yet to release the identity of the deceased.
