Fatal accident occurs after police pursuit in Hamilton County
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is looking into a tragic incident in Sheridan where a person lost their life following a police chase. It started when Sheridan Police officers were dealing with a stolen vehicle report, prompting the suspect to flee and refuse to stop when ordered. The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed their vehicle at Veterans Park. Despite the officers' efforts to help the driver, they unfortunately passed away. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Crash Team is leading the investigation, responding to a request for support from the Sheridan Police Department.
