Fatal accident near Hastings
A man from Hastings tragically lost his life in a car crash near Hastings on Saturday evening. The incident occurred on Woodlawn Road near Becker Road just before 6 p.m. According to the Barry County Sheriff's Office, the driver, a 79-year-old Hastings resident, was driving eastbound on Woodlawn Road when his truck veered off the road and collided with a tree. Unfortunately, the man passed away at the scene, and his identity has not yet been disclosed. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
