Fatal accident near Buellton leaves one dead and two injured
A fatal collision occured on Highway 246 near Buellton last Friday evening, resulting in one fatality and two individuals sustaining injuries. The incident involving two vehicles took place at the intersection of Highway 246 and Domingos Road and was reported by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department at 6:54 p.m. Emergency responders conveyed the adult male driver of one vehicle, with moderate injuries, by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately, the passenger of this vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The solo male driver of the other vehicle was taken to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital with minor injuries. One lane of Highway 246 remains open as the California Highway Patrol investigates the circumstances of the crash.
