Fatal accident involving three vehicles on I-40 in Johnson County: NCSHP
A tragic three-car crash in Johnston County on Wednesday morning resulted in the loss of a woman's life, as reported by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The accident occurred near mile marker 313 on I-40 just before 9 a.m. According to the NCSHP, the collision involved three eastbound vehicles. A vehicle in the middle lane veered into another lane, leading to a chain reaction that ultimately involved a white Cadillac. The Cadillac then veered across all lanes and hit the median barrier. Sadly, the driver of the Cadillac, Ashley McNair, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other two vehicles sustained injuries and were transported to WakeMed for medical care. Charges are expected to be filed, according to NCSHP officials.
