Fatal accident involving SUV and tractor-trailer in Lincoln
A fatal collision between an SUV and a tractor-trailer occurred in Lincoln on Monday morning, resulting in the death of the SUV driver. The incident took place at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and the entrance to the Sterling Pointe shopping center around 10 a.m., as reported by the Lincoln Police Department. The SUV sustained significant damage to the front, with the driver trapped inside and no other occupants. Despite efforts by emergency responders to extract the individual, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was unharmed in the crash. The northbound Lincoln Boulevard was closed for over two hours for the initial investigation, while authorities continue to look into the cause of the collision. No identities of those involved have been disclosed yet. Lincoln, situated just north of Roseville in Placer County, is approximately 33 miles northeast of downtown Sacramento.
