Fatal accident involving SUV and Amtrak train in JCC.
In Norge, Virginia, a tragic incident occurred when an Amtrak train collided with a 2019 Toyota Highlander being driven by Sarah Jones Mazariegos. The accident, which took place at a private road crossing on Peach Street, resulted in Mazariegos losing her life. Despite this, the 90 passengers on the train were unharmed. The train, Northeast Regional Train 186, was on its way to New York from Williamsburg when the collision happened. Emergency responders are conducting investigations at the site, and service on the impacted route will resume once the track inspection is completed.
