Fatal accident involving Chatham man on Route 790 in Pittsylvania County
Virginia State Police are currently looking into a fatal single-vehicle crash that took place on Route 790 near Route 794 in Pittsylvania County. The incident occurred on July 26, involving a 2020 Ford Explorer traveling east on Route 790, veering off the road's right side. The vehicle then collided with a ditch, overturned, and ejected the driver, identified as Jeremy Arthur Roberts, 45, of Chatham, who was not wearing a seatbelt. Tragically, Roberts did not survive the crash. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
