A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday morning in Marana when a cyclist was fatally struck by a cement truck, according to the Marana Police Department. The victim, identified as 53-year-old Edwin Alexander, was involved in a collision at the intersection of Twin Peaks Road and Camino De Manana. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and both the cyclist and the cement truck were reportedly heading north on Twin Peaks before the collision occurred. The driver of the truck remained on-site and is cooperating with authorities.
