Fatal accident involving box truck near Kerman
A fatal crash occurred on Friday morning near Kerman in Fresno County, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident, which took place at the intersection of Belmont and Siskiyou avenues around 7:15 a.m., involved a green sedan and a box truck. The sedan was traveling east on Belmont Avenue when it attempted to turn left in front of the westbound box truck. Tragically, the passenger in the right front seat of the sedan, believed to be a couple in their mid-sixties, lost their life at the scene. The driver of the sedan was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the box truck sustained minor injuries and has been cooperating with authorities. The circumstances leading to the sedan driver's decision to turn in front of the truck are still under investigation. The identities of the individuals involved have not been disclosed.
