Fatal accident in Town of Lee on Sunday night
Late on Sunday night in the Town of Lee, a man was killed in a crash on Steadman Road. Oneida County Sheriffs received an iPhone crash notification at around 8:40 pm on Sunday, November 2. The driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, was heading south on Steadman Road when they lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other individuals were in the vehicle. Steadman Road was shut down for a few hours for the investigation before being reopened. The scene was managed by the Oneida County Sheriffs, with support from the New York State Police, Lee Center Volunteer Fire Department, and Amcare Ambulance of Rome.
