
Fatal accident in Sanders County claims life of Hot Springs resident
A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon near Thompson Falls, where a 44-year-old individual from Hot Springs lost his life in a motorcycle accident. The event took place at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Montana Secondary Highway 471 near mile marker 3.5, when the victim failed to navigate a curve while traveling northbound. The motorcycle skidded, causing the rider to collide with a guardrail before landing on the road. Sadly, the driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, passed away at the crash site. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, factors such as speed and alcohol are thought to have played a role in the collision.
