Fatal accident in rural Pratt County
In a tragic incident occurring on Friday morning at a rural intersection to the west of Pratt, Kansas, a 21-year-old woman lost her life while two others sustained serious injuries. The collision took place around 9:15 a.m. at the crossing of SW 50th Street and SW 20th Avenue when a Buick Encore traveling east on SW 50th and a 1962 Chevrolet truck moving north on SW 20th collided. The victim, Riley Cheyenne Prosser of Pratt, was the driver of the Buick and was declared deceased at the scene, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol report. The truck's driver, a 35-year-old man, and his 18-year-old passenger, both from Pratt, were taken to a hospital with potentially severe injuries. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the crash.
