Fatal accident in Montgomery with semi-truck
On Tuesday evening, a tragic accident occurred at the intersection of Route 31 and Caterpillar Drive, resulting in the death of Jason Messick from Oswego. The collision took place between Messick's sedan and a semi-truck. Emergency responders arrived at the scene promptly, but Messick was pronounced dead. The incident occurred as Messick was traveling southbound on Route 31 and the northbound semi attempted to turn left onto Caterpillar Drive but was unable to avoid the collision. The authorities have taken over the investigation with Route 31 being closed for several hours. Montgomery Police Chief Phil Smith expressed condolences to Messick's family and friends during this difficult time.
