Fatal accident in Farmington involving two vehicles
A tragic incident took place on Tuesday morning in St. Francois County, Missouri, resulting in the loss of a Desloge woman's life after a collision between a Kia Forte and a Chevrolet Silverado truck on Highway 32 in Farmington. The crash, reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), happened slightly after 11:10 a.m. near Industrial Drive, where the driver of the Kia Forte veered into oncoming traffic across the continuous left turn lane. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado attempted to avoid a head-on collision by moving left, but the unfortunate swerve by the Kia Forte led to the fatal crash with the truck. The 26-year-old driver of the Kia Forte, hailing from Desloge, lost her life in the crash, as she was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado sustained minor injuries, credited to wearing their seatbelt at the time of the collision, as confirmed by MSHP.
